An ode to the dreamers, performers, and artists of early 20th-century Paris.

The Medrano Collection draws inspiration from the bohemians and creatives who passed through the famed doors of the Cirque Medrano in Paris during the early 1900s.

Steeped in the spirit of performance and artistic freedom, the collection pays tribute to this vibrant world through movement, colour, and layered expression.

Visually, it reflects the essence of Picasso’s Rose Period, with a palette of coral red, mustard gold, amber, emerald green, and azure blue—all rendered on richly coloured silks.

These backgrounds are not simply canvases but an integral part of the artwork, allowing layers of translucent colour to build depth, light, and texture in each piece.

Through these studies in silk, I sought to capture the energy, elegance, and ephemeral beauty of trapeze artists and acrobats, reimagined in the context of the modern circus. Each design evokes the dynamism of performance—its tension, rhythm, and grace—transformed into wearable compositions.
